What is it?
A couple of new features I wanted to point out on the One Mann’s Movies web site. One is to share particular film reviews to your own social media channels; the other improves the search capability significantly.
New sharing widgets.
You’ll now see if you open a review a new set of social media widgets at the top of the post and in a bar down the left hand side.
If you want to share and comment on one of my reviews or other posts (please do! This will greatly improve the visibility of my site on the web!) then just click on an icon (e.g. Facebook) and then that will take you to your logged in social media page to share the post. A wide range of social media channels are listed and more can be accessed by clicking on the “+” symbol.
New Search Capability.
There is a wealth of historical film reviews on One Mann’s Movies, dating back to as early as 2013, but I will be the first to admit that finding older reviews or reviews relating to a particular actor hasn’t always been easy. So today I have incorporated a new ‘Ajax-driven’ new OMM search capability into the web site.
Here’s how to use it.
- You initiate the search in the same way as before, by clicking on the ‘magnifying glass’ in the top right of the home page.
- But now a red box will open as shown in the picture below, allowing you to enter your search;
- As you type your search, suggested results will be dynamically pushed to you in a list. This (highlighted by the red box) is the set of results presented for the search “Robert Pattinson”;
